Live Musician Showcase
Imagine, giving at least a half dozen of the SL live musicians or DJs a proper setup and good support! Last year We had an 'informal' one w/ Cylindrian and Lyndon and Kyle at the hotel that went great, even with the challenges involved. Mix in some art like Filthy's in realtime or some other format, and you have a great alternative/complement to the Stroker's ball!

Hey, if we do this somewhere besides some insipid corporate events ballroom, then count me in for a live freakout thing!

I know a few folks here in Seattle with studios as well. They're as prolific as Starbucks ;-)

Great idea Lyndon, I have possible access to editing and mastering SF/HW. In fact could possibly record folks in NYC. (we can accept submitted tracks as well, just specify a submission format) I have a friend with a private studio. Time to ask for favors! :)

I think Lyndon has an excellent idea with the CD. I'll even offer to do the graphics.

I'm thinking we (SL music community) might want to think about producing a CD of 1 song each to sell. After paying the expense of making such an item, we could use the rest of the profits to help with the SLCC music track expenses (PA rental, lights, costume changes ;-) etc.
I'm just thinking out loud here. Any thoughts?

You have a regular stream? Can we get more than 50 people on that sim? Will you send me a LM? Is there a dress code? Who's hosting? Do I have to wear a group tag? Can I put down a tip jar? Do I have to split tips? What? An airplane ticket? Say, what kind of gig is this?

Pulaski Fizz is working hard at sponsoring and bringing to the convention up to 12 of SL's best artists. He's also developing a Music Track to be offered at the convention as well so please join with me in doing all we can to help make it happen.

Happening in my former hometown of SF? I think we've got a good reason to go this year.

I think Live Music is an integral part of the SL experience and should be included prominently in the conference. Willing to help all I can.

I would go for this as long as the SLCC planners bring back Niko Donburi for a performance. :)

We (The Stream Team) are extremely excited about helping organize LIVE shows, panel discussion forums, LIVE streaming of events, collaboration with venues to simulcast shows, and much more based on input and interest or all participants.
